I want to see the Manager

Hannes Lang

Cinema-Documentaryfilm

In eight intimate episodes "I want to see the manager" depicts the shifting global powerstructure by revealing interconnected fragments of our globalized present.

Why does the broker in Mumbai think that the investment into western markets will be pointless in the near future? Which hopes do people in Bolivia have because of the discovery of lithium? Why do rich people in Bejing have to win a lottery in order to buy a car? What do European Alzheimer patients do in Thailand? What is left of Europe's glorious past? How much do human beings differ from animals in terms of their working power? Why do American scientists want to perfect the human being by technical advancement? And why do squatters live in one of the highest skyscrapers of Caracas?

"I want to see the manager" will offer a new and comprehensive look at today's geopolitical changes in order to show how they inscribe themselves into the individual experience of every-day life worldwide.
